Lamas

The little lama girl is the new Circus Krone star.
Pietro Bento, who is taking care of all the animals, is sure about that: the little girl
will soon be a four-legged world artist. Until then, the mini lama will enjoy her
time with her mother Shanaia and her aunts Bella and Naomi in the warm stable.

On the 04.02.2002, on the night to Monday, around 5 A.M., a little lama girl took a look at the light of live. Shortly after it tried to stand up on her small legs quite secure wandering through the hay. Meanwhile she cheeky look at her visitors with her big black rolling eyes and curiously raises her long fluffy ears when she hears a sound.

After nine years for the first time a new born in Circus Krone.

Though Circus Krone is the home for approximately 250 animals, this birth is a little
sensation, because the last new-born was more then 10 years ago: 1993 four tiger
babies were born. It' s not easy with our new-born. The horses only get stallions,
and the elephants only get ladies. Around the camels it is about even, but still one is
desperately waiting for breeding. And so all hope is on the lamas. The elders of the
little one, Shanaia and Paco, are just about two years old when the little one is born.
Even for lamas, which can become up to 20 years old, a young parenthood, which
gives hoop for more breeds.

Fatherly feelings are not put away for the young stallion yet. Mother and daughter
are still alone in the stable. Merely her aunts, Bella and Naomi are allowed to take
a look every now and then. At the least 6 months from now the seriousness of live
begins for the little artist with learning the first little artistic practices. It will take 2
up to 4 years until a lama is ready for the manège.
