Our home seat in Munich
The Krone building is the ancestral seat for the travelling
Circus during winter and in summer it's the location
for many other productions.

The full-length statue of Charlie Rivel, the most famous clown of the world,
is waiting for our visitors at the entrance of the Krone building.

international Circus shows
are presented each winter
in monthly succession
during the time between
the end of December and
the end of March.

Traditionally, the first night
of the winter season
is at Christmas Day.

Throughout the "travel season" of the Circus - from April until the middle of November -
lots of other events and shows (e. g. concerts, lectures, performances, boxing, etc.)
can be visited in the Munich Krone building.

The history of the Krone building in key-words
On May, 10th 1919 the first Krone building was opened on "Marsfeld" in Munich.
Despite of the evening curfew which has been ordered because of the riots during
time of the german "Räterepublik" (Soviet republic), the first night became a full success.

In December 1944, three days before Christmas, the wooden
building was completely destroyed by the aircraft bombs.

Only one year later, in December 1945, a new substitute building stood on "Marsfeld".
However, this rather was a provisional arrangement than a building of magnificence
It was made of wood too.

On December, 12th 1962 the third Krone building had it's inauguration. Everyone in
Munich was on the move, when the Sembach-Krone family together with 3000 guests
celebrated the gala opening of the -now- most modern Circus building in Europe.

In 1967 the then chief burgomaster Dr. Hans-Jochen Vogel
renamed the adjacent road to "Zirkus-Krone-Straße".
