With great joy and anticipation, members of the staff of Circus Krone visited the museum with some exponents of the circus after receiving an invitation from the organizers of the presentation "Modern Nomads". In addition to the lives of well known nomads of yesteryear to include the Tuaregs and Mongols, modern day nomads such as long distance truckers and wandering apprentices are presented. The life of the circus is also a nomadic life and thusly, a detailed and a sensitive depiction of the "nomadic life of Circus Krone in picture and sound" is presented. Originally planned for 2004, we placed uniforms, costumes, harnesses predatory animal entrances, photos and the new Circus Krone video in the museum. As an eye catcher, the museum added pictures of a beautiful tiger. As expected, the exhibition was an overwhelming success and consequently extended to the middle of 2005. Only then will the artifacts be returned to the Munich Circus Krone Building. P.S.: While Circus Krone was a guest in Münster Krone clown Jimmy embodied the focus of the exhibition. Museum director Dr. Alfred Hendricks said at that time: "Circus people reflect modern day nomads". Therefore, the largest circus in Europe was specifically selected as a partner. Because all which concerns mobility, no matter whether at that time by foot and wagon or today by motorized vehicles circus artists and and their colleagues - remain a nomadic people in a traveling city - THE KRONE-CITY ! ![]() The traveling tent city in Rotterdam / Holland.
