In almost a century, the Circus Krone empire has grown to become a Circus institution which
is recognized worldwide. This outstanding success is based on the maxim tradition,
entrepreneurial spirit, love of animals and absolute seriousness.
The family business still cultivates these bases today.

Ida Krone, née Ahlers (1879-1957) Carl Krone (1870-1943)

Menagerie Continental, at 1850 Carl Krone Sr., father of
the legendary Circus king and
founder Carl Krone Jr. had
owned the  travelling Menagerie
"Continental" in 1870.
Circus Krone arose from
this in 1905.

In 1924, Krone celebrated a
premiere of the superlatives.
A gigantic circus tent with
8,000 seats, 3 rings and
2 stages. Carl Krone founded
his reputation as king of
the German circus with that.

In 1943, Carl Krone died. He didn't experience any more as the Krone building
was destroyed completely by aircraft bombs in Munich and man and animals
had to be evacuated to the Krone stud-farm Wessling.

Carl Sembach (died 18.01.1984) Frieda Sembach-Krone (died 02.11.1995)

Frieda Sembach-Krone and her husband Carl Sembach rebuilt the circus
and took it to new heights immediately after the end of the war.
In 1949, the travelling circus went on tour again.
Christel Sembach-Krone
Christel Sembach-Krone directs the destiny of the Circus
after the death of her father (Carl Sembach, died January, 1.1984)
and mother (Frieda Sembach-Krone, died November, 2.1995)
now already in the 4th generation.
