But the hard reality stands behind
the sceneries anyway.

An enterprise in the size of Circus
Krone is directed like an industry
combination. They are calculating
and working out there. Almost 50 
of the nearly 400 employees of 
Circus Krone are working in the 
administration.

Unlike theatre and opera houses
the circus gets no subsidies.

The expenditures of the travelling marquee city amount almost 25.000 Euro daily.
Is contained in this: Fees, salaries, taxes, welfare contributions, season tickets,
advertisement costs, transports, lodging, food and energy. Though, new acquisitions
or amortizations aren't charged at this yet.

Solely the main marque with seat facilities, stage, masts and accessories has cost more
than one million Euro. The Eight-Masts-Marquee the most modern, the largest and
most expensive of the present.

Krone issues about 3.000 Euro daily to feed people and Animals.
180 kg of meat must be available per day only for the wild animals.
Each of the nine elephants needs 2 hundredweights of straw, 1 hundredweight
of hay, 15 kg of bread and approximately 10 kg of fresh food per day - in the total
value of 50 Euro. More than 60 horses and ponies want to be fed every day.

The rational annual balance sheet:
- 1 million Euro for transports
- 5 million Euro fees and salaries 
- 1,5 million Euro taxes and welfare contributions
