The lion "Pasha", riding on a horse, is the sensation of the Menagerie Continental.

Introduction of box- and parquet seats
The travelling Menagerie introduced seats for the guests for the first time.

Carl Krone takes over the Menagerie
After the death of his father Carl Krone takes over the direction of the Menagerie. The company was grown up by the purchase of new animals gradually.

Karl Krone marries Ida Ahlers
The marriage with the 23-year-old showman daughter takes place during the lunch-hour in Coblenz.
The honeymoon is cancelled -- the work is more important.

Menagerie Charles
Die Menagerie Continental is renamed to Menagerie Charles.
The first station under new name:
The October feast in Munich.

Das new marquee
The new tent is opened at the Bremen "Freimarkt" (free market). For the first time it is larger than all other shows on this huge peoples festival ground.
1904
Miss Charles
Ida Krone overtakes the lions trained by her husband.
As Miss Charles she presents a "lion breakfast" with 24 fully-grown Berber lions in the central cage.

A Circus becomes from the Menagerie 
The "Circus Charles" celebrates premiere in the 36 m tent at the "Zollgelände" (customs area) in Bremen.

Carl crown renames the circus in it's today's name:  "Circus Krone"

Birth of Frieda Krone
The only daughter of Ida and Carl Krone was born in the Viennese university clinic. She gets the name Frieda.
10-05-1919
The first solid Krone building
The first solid Krone building arises in wood construction practice with 4.000 seats on the Munich "Marsfeld". The premiere takes place during the unrest of the german soviet republic. The show is a smash hit despite evening closing time.
1924
Carl Krone, the king of the German Circus
With 8.000 seats a circus of the superlatives celebrates premiere. Performances are done on two stages and in three Manèges simultaneously.
1928
Inauguration of 10.000 persons marquee
Mammoth show with about 650 animals, of this 27 elephants in the ring, demonstrated by Carl Krone.
Now, more than 1.000 people are counting to Krone.
31-05-1932
No school for the whole city of Munich 
Large parade moving with artistes and animals by the centre of Muninch to the "Theresienwiese".
More than 100.000 spectators are on the roads to experience the parade.

Marriage of Frieda Krone
Frieda Krone marries the young tamer Carl Sembach.
The son of a family of civil servants came to Circus Krone in 1933 as wild animal trainer.
27-11-1936
Birth of Christel Sembach-Krone
The 4th generation of the Krone dynasty is born.
1939-1945
The second World War 
Despite the chaos of war Circus Krone continues playing. 
Tours with the Marqee Circus in summer, in winter performances in the Krone building in Munich.
Almost every show is interrupted by air-raid warning.
04-06-1943
Carl Krone dies in Salzburg 
Burial on the Munich "Waldfriedhof" (woods graveyard) in the family mausoleum.
21-12-1944
Destruction of the Krone building in Munich 
The Krone building is destroyed by air-raids completely. 
Man and animals are evacuated on the Krone-stud-farm Wessling.
11-11-1945
First show after the war 
On request of the Americans for the 60th birthday of general Patton the circus gives its first guest performance after the war in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Premiere in the new Krone building 
Krone building for this one after the destruction newly built up celebrates premiere.
It is rather a provisional arrangement, than a splendour building.

Ida Krone dies
The woman of the circus founding father Carl Krone and mother of Frieda Krone dies in Munich.

Inauguration of the third and present Kronebuilding 
Whole Munich was on the legs as the family together with 3.000 guests celebrated the Gala premiere in the now most modern circus building of Europe.
1967
Zirkus-Krone-Straße
On initiative of the then chief burgomaster of Munich, Dr. Hans Jochen Vogel, the adjacent road was renamed to "Zirkus-Krone-Straße".
18-01-1984
Death of Carl Sembach 
The father of today's circus boss's, Christel Sembach-Krone dies in the age of 75 years.
