Always worth a visit, is the Krone Zoo
with its 250 animals from four continents.
But now - with our two lions beauties - still much more to enjoy.

For those who do not already know, here are some things to
remember. Everyone can visit the Krone City starting from
10 o'clock and observe the inner workings of Europe's largest
circus. The kitchen, school, fire-brigade, power station, work
shops and offices of all kinds (tailor, upholstery dept., carpenter's
workshop, auto garage). There is each morning animal training
in the ring of the the largest chapiteau, designed for 5.000 persons.
The "Messepark" park in Landshut is ideally suited for Circus
Krone, large with solid ground and sufficient space for setting up the
stable tents and external enclosure. And we have the best overview.

Directly opposite, the elephants waltz throughout the day. Among them
is the largest bull elephant in the world, COLONEL JOE with 7 tons,
3,50 tall and 1,80 meter long snow-white tusks.
Colonel Joe is rather large - wouldn't you say?
Right beside is the exotic animals stall tent with zebras,
camels, lamas, ponies, goats - and boar Fritzi,
a new acquisition from Bad Dürkheim.
Not that he is on the
same level as we are
- however his story
is nevertheless very
amusing, how a
butcher found him,
raised him and
gave him to Circus
Krone. Somehow
touching. He now
has a pig pen, toys
and a lot of leisure time.

Zebras and Camels are rambunctious with this great weather
in Landshut and romp also at night in the open enclosure.

They have a fantastic exotic animal tree in their enclosure, with
an extra portion leaves brushes to rub and scratch and an
extra portion leaves. They like that.
Also those horses march several times a day from
their tall into the manège and back . All the stallions
eside in single apartments. Four times a day, they receive
feed, are brushed and groomed, much to the horse's delight.

One says the horses are her the favorite animals of circus
directress Christel Sembach Krone are.
But that was certainly before we arrived on the scene ...

At the rear left at the tent those
lives brown lion Armada. She has
additional indian rubber balls with
which to play, pedestals, enormous
scratching trees and branches with
new leaves. In her mobile home is,
in addition, a swimming pool. With
the increase of temperature the
pool is immediately put to use with
a temperature starting at 25°

"Gründonnerstag", by the way, was
the summer premiere in the Circus
Krone and everybody was in good
mood. Sold out - more beautifully
can the season not begin. We were
not yet "live", but KING TONGA told
us after his appearance of everything
that happened. The tent was packed,
there were repeated applause and
curtain calls for Martin Lacey jr...

I can hardly await the first day of training and to receive my
my loving caresses. For the moment, we are still developing our
"mutual trust".
Good Friday was a performances free day, a so-called "quiet day",
but the Krone Zoo was opened and in the afternoon at 14.00 there
was a public animal and artist rehearsal in the manège.

Martin Lacey Jr. started things off by granting a question and
answer session after which he was surrounded by admirers
as if he were Robbie Williams.
But he did not come to us. We received a visit
Dr. Lendl, our animal doctor from Augsburg. With the help of a long
blow pipe she inoculated us against cat epidemics and cat cold.

It was very exciting and above all the many spectators and
their remarks. We will always remember that!
P.S. My first Easter was full surprises. There was an easter egg
hunt for the Krone Kids in the Manège, several there were several
newspaper and radio reports. The day before yesterday a small
sensation: Princess got her permanent teeth.
She looks completely beautifully grown-up to and
everyone is proud of our lion princesses.

One has to be proud of the
restoration of the Circus Krone
cafe bar, which is under the
management of Nina Pilz .
The pictures "Night & Day"
are placed here as an
attractive invitation to all
Krone fans to frequent
the establishment.
